An interactive session that will encourage you and your peers to discuss the changing landscape of how we care for our patients during COVID-19. In light of the current guidance, this session will discuss ways we can adapt our practice, discussing from a clinical, legal and moral perspective the ways we can safely care for our patients whilst optimising patient experience.

Excellence in remote aftercare

This interactive session will encourage you and your peers to discuss the changing landscape of how we provide aftercare to our patients to include remote aftercare consultations where applicable. We will share experiences so far in remote consultations and explore professional boundaries and clinical judgement for delivering care safely to our patients and within the current framework and guidance available.

Our new norm peer discussion

The global COVID-19 pandemic has propelled the optical profession into a whole new way of thinking, working and caring for our patients. This peer discussion looks at four separate patient cases, designed specifically around the challenges faced in our new reality. Join together with colleagues to explore the clinical, legal and moral aspects of each case, helping you to develop confidence in patient management throughout the COVID pandemic.

Maximising patient satisfaction

A fast paced interactive session that will encourage you and your peers to not make assumptions around a patient's lifestyle and really uncover what vision correction options could make a difference to them without awkwardness and without you feeling like you’re making a sales pitch. This discussion workshop provides you with some structured questioning techniques to help you ensure your patients really are at the heart of the decisions about their vison correction options.

Wednesday 16th December, 7:00 - 8:15pm
