The Johnson & Johnson Institute offers support for travel and accommodation to United Kingdom residents for the following courses.
· Presbyopia and its management with contact lenses
· Healthy eyes, happy patients
· Newly qualified optometrist course
There is no support for travel and accommodation for the following courses:
· Pre-registration OSCE Preparation Courses
· What do I do with that red eye?!
· New ways to get to grips with dry eye
If you are attending a 1 or 2 day course at the Johnson & Johnson Institute and live over 100 miles away, hotel accommodation is offered for the night before the course. This is only booked on request - if you require a room please call 01530 410476 or e-mail [email protected]
If you are attending a two-day course, bed and breakfast accommodation will be automatically booked for the middle night regardless of your travel distance. If you do not require this, please call 01530 410476 or e-mail [email protected] to let us know.
Delegates travelling from England or Wales will be reimbursed for travel to the institute at a rate of 20p per mile after the first 100 miles of the round trip. Calculations are based on home postcode to institute postcode (regardless of transport mode). A travel claim form will be available for submission on the course day and expenses will be reimbursed within 28 days (minimum reimbursement amount £20)
The Johnson & Johnson Institute will book and cover the cost of standard return flights to Heathrow for one person if travelling from Scotland, Ireland and the Channel Isles, plus airport to institute transfers. If you require a flight, please contact us immediately. Flights cannot be booked after 3 weeks prior to the course. Please note: travel to the outbound airport and airport parking are not reimbursable.
